Pugitta and Mr. Fuggs
relax, but know there is still some investigative
work to be done... so their nap is short-lived.
|
Just me... and my
Pepsi Wild Cherry... updating the website.
|
Love that
BlackBerry... bummer, all I've received are
messages from KimmieD. She's noth of us in Conroe
at her parent's house... took her almost 14 hours
to get there from downtown Houston last night.
|
The walkie-talkies are
all charged up and ready for action.
"Breaker-breaker and a 10-4 good buddy."
|
The pugs pass by the
first station on our list. Their investigations
return a "paws up" so it looks like these units are
ready for action.
|
Here are the two
battery backup units we plan to use to power the
jukebox and disco ball in case there is no power in
the house, so we can dance to our old CDs of RUN
DMC and M.C. Hammer (no one can find my collection
of Hansen CDs).
|
Paul is worried about
the storm... but finds time to relax regardless
(note beer in lower frame of picture.)
|
Some coooool change.
We're going to head out in a moment on a Beef Jerky
run!!
|
Got an extra battery
specifically for the light. This baby will last for
days on end, and will be used to light our disco
ball once the music starts. Now... if only I can
find my bell-bottom pants (I hope I didn't
accidentally give it to Good Will when I was making
those Hurricane Katrina runs.)
|
Our neighbors have
boarded up their south-facing windows, but have no
plans to board the north side. Not sure why,
really.
|
The skies are filling
a little more with clouds, but still very sunny at
the moment.
|
The pugs investigate
the back lawn and their final report back to the
office indicates that the lawn is in need of water
in order to survive. I think we can take care of
that. (oh -- side note: last night one of our
neighbors was watering his lawn!!! Can you believe
that??)
|
Now to check out
what's happening... ON GUNSMOKE!! Looks like
someone tried to wrastle someone else's cattle. So
he got booted in the mud. Tough luck for the cattle
wrastler.
|
Here is the catle
wrastler gett'n an old-fashioned talk'n to. BAAAAD
CATLE WRASTLER... BAAAAAD!!!
|
Oh crap... Paul
switched it back to the hurricane news. We may
never know what happened to the cattle
wrastler.
|
It's been a slow day,
and sales are down in the car lot. We may have to
offer better deals if some of these puppies don't
sell fast. If I put them on eBay I'm sure my dad
will bid on them... although the reserve may be too
high (he'll still bid under the reserve, but at
least it will get the bidding started.)
